1.Walter walks out on Ruth and Mama when he finds out Ruth was Pregnant. The setting of Scene two, was the bedroom and the living room.
4.Travis doesn't like that Beneatha was spraying at the cockroaches and Beneatha threatens to spray him too.
9.Alaiyo. He says it means..."One for Whom Bread—Food—Is Not Enough."
13.She thinks there might be another woman and he might think crazy things.
15.Because she's saying that Walter should be proud of the things that they have accomplished already and we is the family.

1)In the very end of scene one Beneatha stops believing in god and Mama tell her as long as she lives under her roof she will believe in god. Beneatha goes off to school and Mama waters her plant. The setting of the start of act 1 scene 2 is a saturday morning and they were cleaning the house and waiting for he check to arrive.
4)Travis's news is that he wants to go down stairs because the stuff beneatha is spraying smells bad and beneatha reacts by chasing him with the spray
9)Asagais's nigerian name for beneatha is Alaiyo. I means "ONe for whom bread,food,is not enough".
13)Her concern is that she thinks he is going to drink somewhere and has another woman n his life.

1. At the very end of Act 1, Scene One, Beneatha hated the fact that there was God at all. Mama was very religious and made Beneatha say "In my mother's house there is still God." After apologizing to Mama, Beneatha went to school. Ruth fainted at the end. The setting was in the living room, on Friday morning in Chicago's Southside.
4. Travis was upset that Beneatha was spraying at the cockroaches which smelled bad and complained so that he could go downstairs.
9. Asagai's Nigerian name for Beneatha is Alaiyo. It means "One for Whom Bread-Food-Is Not Enough".
13. Mama was concerned that Walter is drinking too much and may have feelings for another woman.
15. Mama is "proud of...what we done" meant that they should be proud of the things that they accomplished in their life. The "we" meant the family.
16. Walter was reacting that way because Mama had took his dream away. Walter's dream was to invest in a liquor store, but Mama does not like the idea.

1. In the ending of scene one of act one, Beneatha and Mama was arguing about the religious problem. Beneatha don't’ believe in God, but Mama does. Then Mama slapped her and told her that if its in her house then there will be god. Afterward, she just went out and water her plants, and Ruth were saying Beneatha was still a kid. (The setting in the beginning of Act one scene two.)
Then the next morning, a Saturday morning, there were house-cleaning in their house. Beneatha tied a blanket across her face and spraying the insecticide into the cracks of the wall. Travis finish his work and running around. Ruth were out.
4. When Travis enters the room, he felts disguised about the insecticide spray and trying to make Beneatha stop killing cockroaches, he also surprised her. Beneatha was chasing him and playfully wanted to spray on Travis.
9. The Nigerian name for Beneatha was Alaiyo and he says it mean "one for whom bread, food, is not enough".
13. Mama thinks that Walter is frequently away from home was that he got another woman outside, he’s cheating on Ruth. That Walter can find another peace in another house.
15. Mama meant that she’s proud of what her families did, Walter’s father done, and all the dark-skin people did. “we” could represent her families, Africa Americans, dark-skinned people.
16. He acts that way because Mama told him that she will uses parts of the money for Beneatha’s schooling, and for her own uses. She didn’t accept the idea of Walter’s dream of opening a liquor store. So he was pissed at it.

1. At the end of Act 1, Scene 1 Ruth faints while talking to Mama. The setting of the start of Act 1, Scene 2 is on a Saturday morning where the Youngers were in the process of cleaning. Furniture has been shoved hither and Beneatha is spraying insecticide into the cracks of the walls. The radio was on filling the house with exotic saxophone blues.
4. Travis is upset because Beneatha was killing the cockroaches. Beneatha reacts by chasing after Travis and spraying him with the insceticide too.
9. Asagai's Nigerian name for Beneatha is "Alaiyo". In English that means " One for whom bread- food-is not enough".
13. Mama's concerns for Walter's frequent away from home is that he is drinking too much and he might have an affair with another woman outside.
15. The "we" that Mama is talking about is them [the family]. She tells Walter that he should be glad of all they have done as a family. Everyone should be glad of what they have done and accomplished in life so far.

16. Walter does this because he has his dream stretched out right in front of him but Mama won't give him the money for him to grab it.

1- At the end of scene one, Beneatha claims she doesn't believe in God and Mama reprimands her, making her say "In my mothers house there is still God". After their argument Beneatha leaves for school and Mama and Ruth are left in the apartment. Ruth ends up fainting. The setting is the Youngers' living room, in their small Chicago apartment.
4-Travis gets upset because Beneatha is killing roaches and he asks her to stop because the spray smells bad. This then makes Beneatha chase him around with the insecticide.
9-Asagai calls Beneatha "Alaiyo" which means "One for Whom Bread-Food- Is Not Enough".
13-Mama thinks that if Walter leaves his home to look for peace,hes going to go drink and that hes looking for consent in another woman.
15-Mama's "proud of... what we done" statement refers to the family and how far off along they have actually come.
16-Mama refuses to hear the plans for the liquor store without even giving it a secound thought. This aggrevates Walter, making him feel like his dream is never going to be fulfilled.

1. At the end of Act 1 Scene 1, Beneatha says there is no god and since Mama is religous, she punishes Beneatha by hitting her and after Beneatha leaves, Ruth and Mama talk about Beneatha and Walter then Ruth faints. In the next scene,the setting is a Saturday morning and the Youngers are cleaning the apartment.
4. Travis comes in and says that the roach spray that Beneatha is using smells awful so he asks to go outside so Beneatha chases him out with the roach spray.
9. Asagai's name for Beneatha is Alaiyo and it means "One for whom Bread-Food-is not enough"
13. Mama thinks that that he is finding peace in another home, which means she thinks he is cheating on Ruth with another woman. Also with his drinking habits.
15. "We" in the statement is reffering to to the family. She asks if Walter is happy and content with the way the family is currently.
16. He crumples his papers up because no one is listening to him and when they do, they dont want to know what he has to say and they are agianst his dreams.
